Radisson hotel chain set for Belfast

The global hotel chain Radisson SAS is set to open a new 180-room hotel in Belfast.

The report, in Tuesday morning’s Newsletter, revealed that the hotel to be built on the old Gasworks site in Belfast is scheduled to open in 2003.

The Radisson hotel group, which has 107 hotels in operation and a further 31 in development throughout world, will be one of a number of new businesses to open at the gasworks site. Businesses already operating at the site include Halifax, Helm Corporation and Comtec.

Radisson Belfast will offer guests a number of attractions including conference facilities, restaurant, bistro, pub and fitness centre.

The news follows hot on the heels of the recent opening of the £15 million Ramada hotel situated on Belfast’s Shaw Bridge.

This luxury hotel campus from the Andras House Group also incorporates 120 bedrooms, 1,000 seat function room, Paul Rankin’s Belfast Bar and Grill, the Suburbia bar, and L.A. Fitness. (MB)

Radisson SAS to open £14m Belfast Hotel
A £14 million hotel is to be built on the edge of Belfast city centre, it was announced today. Construction of the Radisson SAS Hotel, Belfast, at the old Gasworks site off the Ormeau Road, is already underway and will be completed by the end of August. The new hotel is expected to create 80 full and part-time jobs.

Growth Plans Announced For McKeever Hotel Group
McKeever Hotel Group has revealed that it intends to grow its operations across its existing hotels in Northern Ireland and Donegal. A second man acquitted of the murder of Michaela McAreavey in Mauritius is seeking compensation from the island's authorities. The 27-year-old was killed at the Legends Hotel last year while she was on her honeymoon. Avinash Treebhoowoon and Sandip Moneea were cleared of the killing.

£12m Belfast Hotel Schemes Open
