North Down to host major international trade fair
North Down will be playing host to an entourage of key business executives from leading European companies at its first ever Transnational Trade Fair, which takes place at the Marine Court Hotel in Bangor in September.
Focusing on multi-media and IT, electronics, plastics and supply chain management, the event will provide local businesses with a unique opportunity to publicise their products and services to an international network.
Informative seminars, lead by key figures in the fields of marketing, economics and retailing, will be held throughout the two-day event.
Gail McCourt, SIGNAL’s Business Development Executive, said: “We are very excited about this forthcoming event as it will be the catalyst for North Down’s emergence into the European market.
“Through our established partnership with the Recite II project, we currently assist local companies in identifying and developing potential business partners and opportunities throughout Europe.
“This event will firmly place North Down on the European map and should hopefully set the pace for other similar events throughout Northern Ireland.”
The Trade Fair to be held on September 20 and 21 is the result of an international partnership between North Down Borough Council and the European Union’s Recite II project involving six other European countries. (MB)
