Northern Bank Insures Success With Hughes

A new financial 'package' has been announced with news of a partnership that designed to encourage businesses and consumers across the province to ensure that their assets are well protected.

Announced today, the partnership will see Northern Bank partner Hughes Insurance, which will be the official insurance provider to its corporate and personal banking customers, bringing all their financial needs into one local team.

Speaking about the partnership, Northern Bank Chief Executive Gerry Mallon said: "Being well insured and protected is vital, particularly in today’s economic climate, so we welcome this opportunity to partner with a leading local insurance company to support our customers with what we are confident will be both a comprehensive and highly-competitive service.

"Our relationship with Hughes Insurance will combine the expertise and strength of two local financial services brands, both responsive to local needs, to offer real benefit to our customers by making it more straightforward for them to protect their personal and business assets."

Gareth Brady, Chief Executive of Hughes Insurance, said: "This is a strong partnership based on two leading financial organisations each with local people, looking after the needs of local customers.

"As Northern Ireland's largest independent insurance broker it was important for us to partner with a local bank which shared our commitment to offering industry-leading expertise and dedicated local customer service.

"We are looking forward to working with Northern Bank to offer its customers the best insurance products on the market at competitive prices," he said, adding that, to address the insurance needs of these customers, the two organisations have collaborated to develop a suite of business products.
