NI's Best Pharmacist Is Sought
A major competition is calling for people across to celebrate their local pharmacist and help them win a prestigious award.
Supported by Danone Baby Nutrition, the Commitment to Health and Social Wellbeing Award is the only category to be decided entirely by public nomination at the hugely coveted Pharmacy in Focus Awards which take place in January.
The annual event is designed to reward and honour the variety of talented and dedicated professionals who deliver first class healthcare to local communities across Northern Ireland.
Jason Andrews director of Profile, the event organisers, said the awards were about honouring pharmacy heroes.
"Those shortlisted for the prestigious Pharmacy in Focus Awards are leading lights within their local communities. In every one of Northern Ireland's 532 pharmacies there are heroes and heroines of healthcare. This award is a chance to help them to shine in the spotlight.
"If your pharmacist gone beyond the call of duty, maybe delivered vital medications to you or a family member out of hours or perhaps helped someone you know through a difficult time in their lives then we want to hear from you," he said.
To have your say, simply fill out a Pharmacy in Focus nomination card in your local pharmacy today and stay tuned to find out if your local hero is a winner.
Closing date for nominations is Monday, November 21 2011 and they can also be emailed to awards@chemist.com
