Tennents Vital Travel Arrangements Revealed

Organisers have issued advise to those attending the Tennents Vital concerts in Bangor this week.

As tens of thousands of fans will be traveling to The Script and Eminem in Ward Park this week, there will be little provision for parking. So to avoid long traffic delays organisers are strongly recommending that all ticket holders use public transport when traveling to and from the concerts.

Those attending are being advised to purchase a return Translink Bus ticket in advance at www.translink.co.uk or telephone 028 9066 6630.

A half hourly train service will operate from Great Victoria Street/Belfast Central Station to Bangor throughout the day and special rail shuttle services will provide return travel from Bangor to Belfast following the concert until 12.45am with onward connections to Carrickfergus, Lisburn, Portadown and Coleraine.

Concert train day return tickets are still available to buy from selected stations with prices from just £15. Concert-goers are advised to travel by train to Bangor as early as possible to avoid evening peak commuter travel times.

Special festival coaches will also run from various locations across Northern Ireland including Belfast, Londonderry, Omagh, Coleraine, Armagh, Newry, Ballymena, Portadown, Banbridge, Lisburn and Antrim that are available to book online up until 1pm on the day of each concert.

For local people, there will be a special £4 cash fare for a shuttle bus service between Bangor and both Newtownards and Donaghadee after the concert finishes.

A spokesman for the event said: "Please plan your travel arrangements in advance, arrive early, respect the property and residents of Bangor and enjoy the shows.

"An extensive public transport service has been put in place to accommodate fans traveling from across Ulster."
