Police identify man found dead at construction site

Police have identified a man whose body was found at a construction site in east Belfast as 32-year-old Roy Alexander O'Reilly

The man’s body was discovered just after 9am on Monday September 10 at East Bridge Street close to Central railway station in Belfast city centre.

It is understood he lived in Manchester and was visiting friends in the nearby Markets area. Detectives have appealed for assistance from the public.

A post mortem examination is expected to be carried out on the body on Tuesday.

It is understood a crime is not suspected. One line of inquiry being investigated is that Mr O’Reilly may have fallen off the bridge, close to railway station. (AMcE)
