'Pitman Graduates' Sought As Centre Opens

There's a touch of office history being made with news that the first official Pitman Training centre in Northern Ireland is being launched.

Looking back as well as ahead, Margaret Cox, Centre Director, Pitman Training Belfast is seeking anyone who has previously undertaken one of the iconic shorthand courses to get in touch before the new facility's official launch in Belfast on 14th September.

"We would like to find anyone who has taken our training courses so that we can invite them to the official launch event of our centre," she said.

"Sir Isaac Pitman invented shorthand back in 1840 and his vision for transforming business communications lives on in what we do today.

"Many people have done Pitman shorthand and other work-focused training with us over the years and we always love to meet our former students to find out what they are doing now," she said.

"We've now opened our centre on Great Victoria Street in Belfast, and anyone who has taken Pitman Training courses at other locations across the country, or indeed the world should get in touch as we'd love to hear from them," she said.

"Please could they get in touch with me via our branch manager, Esther Brown, at esther.brown@pitmanbelfast.com or on 028 90 996825.

"We look forward to hearing from anyone who has trained with us, and to meeting them in September."
