Citroën Retail Group In Irish Jobs' Boost

The French Citroën Retail Group will open a new retail premises in Dublin before the end of this year.

As well as providing customers with more opportunities to view the Citroën brand, the new dealership will also provide a welcome job boost to the Dublin motor industry.

The new showroom, which will also act as the new headquarters for Citroën Ireland, will be the first Irish-based dealership within the Citroën Retail Group portfolio, which already owns 12 sites across the UK.

Located at the Airside Retail Park in Swords, the site expands Citroën Ireland's accessibility across the key Dublin market.

It also increases Citroën's national network to 27 dealerships (five within the Dublin area).

Frédéric Soulier, Managing Director for Citroën Ireland commented: "The opening of the Citroën Retail Group site will significantly enhance our dealer network in the important Dublin area as well as underlining Citroën's long-term commitment and vision for the brand within Ireland."

Meanwhile, David Peel, Citroën Retail Group Chief Executive for UK and Ireland, added: "The announcement of our new site in Dublin demonstrates the dynamic expansion of the Retail Group and comes during a very exciting time for the brand.

"The hugely successful Citroën DS3, alongside the recently launched New Citroën C4 and Citroën DS4, will be joined in 2012 by the Diesel Hybrid Citroën DS5."

He added: "The new Dublin dealership will open its doors ahead of the key January car sales month with customers being able to visit the new showroom from the end of the year.

"We are confident that the new site will become a flagship and we look forward to establishing it as a premier destination for new Citroën customers in Ireland."

CGDM To Develop New Office Premises
CGDM Construction in Newry is to invest over £500,000 to develop new office premises at Carnbane Business Park. The firm is also creating 10 new jobs with the support of Invest Northern Ireland. Invest NI has offered the company £74,000 of support towards the creation of the new jobs and marketing activities.

Pale Blue Dot Announces Five New Posts
Belfast based creative agency Pale Blue Dot is taking on five new staff as part of an ambitious growth strategy. Invest Northern Ireland has offered the company £37,500 of support for the new jobs which will see the company increase its workforce to 11 staff in the next 18 months.
