ShredBank Boss Shares Secrets Of Success
One of the businessmen behind the successful mobile shredding company ShredBank has been helping out other up-and-coming entrepreneurs.
Seeking to motivate and inspire budding business people from across NI to start and grow their businesses through these tough economic times, Philip Bain, co-founder of the company - in association with Townsend Enterprise Park, a member of Enterprise Northern Ireland - delivered a business growth seminar to past participates of the Exploring Enterprise Programme and the Enterprise Development Programme recently.
The seminar focused on key areas that all businesses need to address in order to survive through difficult economic times.
Having already won Entrepreneur of the Year 2010 from the Chamber of Commerce and the Belfast Telegraph Young Businessperson of the Year 2011, Philip shared his thoughts and experiences on what it takes to start-up, grow and succeed in tough financial times.
He reflected on the importance of marketing, selling, innovation and having a business model that works.
Townsend Enterprise Park were happy to facilitate the seminar as all the money the ShredBank event raised will be used to give practical and financial support to over 3,000 local young people who need it the most, developing key work place skills such as confidence and motivation, enabling them to move into work, education or training.
Gerry Faloona Chairman of Townsend Enterprise Park was delighted to invite ShredBank to be guest speakers and said Philip Bain, Director of ShredBank was an excellent speaker.
"He excited all participants involved providing motivational words which set to inspire all clients to continue in Enterprise.
"Furthermore he was encouraging everyone to fulfil their ambition and go into business regardless of the current climate.
"Townsend Enterprise Park mission is to be there for local companies every step of the way," he said.
Bronagh McCulla Business Development Officer commented: "I would like to thank and congratulate all the participants for taking part on the programmes with Townsend and also to thank ShredBank for helping us celebrate last night.
"The seminar was a great way to round up the programmes and provide advice for the clients, while at the same time raise funds for the Prince's Trust."
To support the work of the Prince's Trust, Townsend Enterprise Park donated the seminar fee to The Prince's Trust Million Makers Competition.
Million Makers aims to raise £1m for The Trust by challenging companies across the UK to turn a seed funding investment into a profit of £10,000, by implementing their very own mini enterprise.
