'Upgrade To VIP Status' For Belsonic Gig

Those holding tickets for this summer's Belsonic festival will be able to upgrade to a VIP pass on Friday morning.

The organisers of Belsonic announced on Thursday that they have managed to free up a very limited amount of additional VIP tickets for all Belsonic shows, which go onsale from Ticketmaster on Friday July 29 at 9am.

However, their statement added they can now also offer a limited number of VIP Upgrades for anyone with a General Admission ticket. The VIP upgrade ticket can we used alongside a General Admission ticket to grant access to the VIP area.

The Belsonic 2011 VIP ticket grants the holder access to the exclusive raised VIP area. The area allows clear views of the stage and the event and boasts improved bar selection, improved toilet facilities, and minimal queuing.

All VIP tickets and upgrades will be available from tomorrow at 9am from Ticketmaster. Click this link for details.

Arcade Fire Confirmed For Belsonic
It has been confirmed that Canadian band Arcade Fire will appear at this year's Belsonic. The band joins the line-up with a headline performance on June 13, at Ormeau Park in Belfast. Tickets go on sale this Friday, 17 February, at 9am from Ticketmaster outlets and www.ticketmaster.ie. Tickets are priced £45 plus a booking fee.

Woman's Car Hijacked In Finaghy
A woman has been left badly shaken after her car was hijacked on Sunday morning. The woman, understood to be a care worker, was leaving the Finaghy area in south Belfast around 9am yesterday (5 January), when her car, a Kia Sportage, had become stuck in soft ground.
