Men's Adventure Day To Support TinyLife

The premature baby charity for Northern Ireland, TinyLife, has launched a new men only, one-day challenge event codename: 'Operation Sixpack' due to be held on Sunday 2nd October in Castlewellan Forest Park.

"We are looking for teams of six who will take on the challenge - the event is a fantastic opportunity for some team building, six packs are not necessary and couch potatoes are welcome.

"Teams will take part in mental, physical and practical tasks including orienteering, canoeing, wall climbing, raft building and raft racing.

"The day will end with a prize giving and BBQ. There is an entry fee of £10 per person and each participant is asked to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship will all funds supporting the work of TinyLife.

"I would love to hear from companies, football teams etc or just groups of friends who want to be part of the fun, the day promises to be great craic," she said, noting that TinyLife provides practical and emotional support to the parents of premature and sick babies through our family support programme, breast pump loan programme, education and research programmes.

She said entry forms are available by contacting TinyLife on 02890 815050 or email
