Belfast Has Got The Blues Festival
The Belfast Blues festival returns to Belfast this August for its third outing, featuring the much-loved journeyman Sherman Robertson.
Robertson (pictured) is one of the world's top ranked blues guitar players and with his distinctive honey and cigar vocals, has been at the forefront of the blues scene around the world.
Taking place in the Cathedral Quarter of the City, this is the third year of the festival, which will be running over the August bank holiday weekend.
The festival will as usual be showcasing Northern Ireland's local blues musicians, along with other great blues acts from England, Scotland and Ireland taking to stages throughout Belfast City.
Sherman Robertson will be headlining at the Oh Yeah Centre, where local favourite Rab McCullough will be making his own appearance.
There will also be a tribute to the one and only Gary Moore, who past away this year, performed by Ulster's finest Willie Byrne.
Various events will taking place throughout the city, including the John Hewitt bar, The Cloth Ear and the Kitchen bar. However, a number of special events besides the Oh Yeah finale, the most notable being the Blues on the Boat event with Ken Haddock, Rab McCullough and Gordon McAllister.

Local Theatre Talent Set For Edinburgh Festival

BCC Leader Questions Funding Of West Belfast Festival Over 'Pro-IRA Singing'
The DUP leader of Belfast City Council has questioned the funding of West Belfast Festival over alleged "pro-IRA singing" at one of their events. Councillor Ald Brian Kingston raised the issued after it was alleged that the crowed at a concert at the Festival chanted "ooh ah up the Ra".

Warrenpoint Welcomes Bell Of The Blues
Ex Thin Lizzy legend, Eric Bell, has been announced as the headline act at this year's Blues on the Bay festival in Warrenpoint. Now in its 13th year, the International Guinness Blues on the Bay Festival taking place from 26 to 30 May began with only 20 gigs, and has now become an international event with nearly 100 acts filling the town.
