Crosby And Nash To Play Waterfront

Legends of 70s folk rock Crosby and Nash, will play Belfast's Waterfront theatre on Wednesday 28 September.

Half of the seminal quartet, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, the first and third member performed and recorded regularly as a duo during the 1970s.

The two are now on a short tour taking in nine UK dates and an Irish appearance.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famers; former members of The Byrds, the Hollies, and a host of impressive other bands; and noted influences to Dylan, the Beatles and even the grunge era, Crosby and Nash are part of an indomitable legacy.

Apart form era defining performances, such as their Woodstock appearance, Crosby and Nash are a fundamental note in the history of popular music.

Tickets for Crosby and Nash are available online, from the Waterfront and Ulster Hall Box Offices and by calling 028 9033 4455. There is a Waterfront Credit/Debit card handling charge of £1 per ticket for bookings made by telephone. A fee of 50p per booking is payable for tickets forwarded by post. Online bookings attract a charge of just £1.50 per transaction.

On-Street Parking Charges To Increase
On-street parking in Belfast, Newry and Lisburn is to increase from February. Charges in Belfast City Centre will increase by 20p per hour from £1.20 to £1.40, while a number of streets on the edge of the city centre with a current charge of 80p per hour will increase to £1.20 per hour.

Schools to benefit from additional £21.4 million in funding
The Education Minister has announced that schools across the province will receive an extra £21.4 million on top of their delegated budgets in the next financial year. The additional funding, which is five per cent more than last year's budgetary allocation, will be spread between every single primary and post primary school in the province.
