Craigavon company takes IT solutions further

Local company PACE (Park Applications Computer Engineering) has merged with Dublin-based information technology firm, e-blana, to help develop a package of IT business solutions for the whole of Europe.

Established in 1989, PACE has emerged as a leading provider of innovative solutions and services for Information Management. E-blana has a significant record of achievement focusing on modernising public services and developing electronic markets, and the link-up with PACE means that e-blana now provides or supports information technology related services in over 20 countries throughout Europe.

Announcing the merger, Denis Haughey, Minister in the Office of the First Minister and Deputy First Minister, said: "Technologies such as the Internet continue to impact on current business practices, while at the same time challenging the way in which the administration here conducts its business and the way in which it interacts with people throughout the country.

"Information Communication Technology (ICT) is an important part of the Knowledge-based economy, and an important contributor to our local economy. Both of the former companies have an impressive track record in global markets, and I wish them well in their new configuration." (CL)
