Jobs' Fraud Fined
A woman was convicted at Coleraine Magistrates' Court for claiming benefits she was not entitled to. Nicola Hunter, 35, of Moneydig Road, Coleraine failed to declare employment while claiming Income Support totalling £3,254.
She was given a £150 fine and ordered to pay court costs of £28. Ms Hunter is also required to repay any outstanding money she wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.

Unemployment Falls For 17th Consecutive Month
Newly published figures show that the number of people claiming unemployment benefit fell by 500 in May, the 17th reduction in a row. The labour Force Survey revealed that there are now 55,500 people claiming unemployment in Northern Ireland – at 6.3% of the total workforce, the figures remains above the UK average of 3.2%.
