Cigarette Stocks Stolen In Newtownabbey
What's been described as a "substantial quantity" of cigarettes has been stolen from a shop in Newtownabbey.
Police in the area said they are appealing for information following the burglary at a grocery store in the Kings Crescent area on Monday night.
A PSNI spokesman said: "Sometime between 10pm last night (Mon 27 June) and 6am this morning (Tues 28 June), thieves entered the premises by forcing the shutters and the front door.
"They stole a substantial amount of cigarettes with an estimated value of several thousands of pounds. They are believed to have made off in the direction of the primary school in the Kings Way."
The spokesman added that anyone who witnessed the robbery or who noticed any unusual activity in the area is asked to contact police at Newtownabbey on 0845 600 8000. Information can also be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Five men arrested following cigarette seizure
Five men have been arrested after more than 500,000 stolen or counterfeit cigarettes were seized by police in the Markets area of Belfast. The cigarettes were found when officers searched a number of cars in McAuley Street and Friendly Way on Thursday. A quantity of counterfeit DVDs were also seized.

Jewellery stolen in Abbey Centre raid
Detectives in Newtownabbey are appealing for information following a burglary at a jewellery store in Abbey Centre last night. Shortly after 11.30pm a red Ford Escort carrying four males crashed into the foyer of the shopping centre before driving through the main doors.

Body of man found on outskirts of Belfast
The body of a man has been found at a flat in the outskirts of Belfast, it has emerged today. The discovery of the 47-year-old's body was made at the flat in the Rathcoole estate, Newtownabbey, shortly after 9pm on Thursday. The police and ambulance service were immediately called to the scene, however it is not yet known how the man died.

Ammunition Found During West Belfast Security Alert
A quantity of ammunition has been found during a security alert in west Belfast. Suspected stolen artwork was also discovered at a property in the St Mary's Gardens area on Thursday, 14 September. Detectives from Musgrave Criminal Investigation Branch have launched an investigation. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
