Man Accused Of Mincing Puppies By USPCA
A man with an address in Dunmurry, Lisburn, is awaiting sentencing after pleaded guilty to unregistered breeding and six charges of unnecessary suffering to puppies and dogs. Henry Williamson, 69, from Barnfield Road, Dunmurry, was further accused by the USPCA of "mincing" puppies after fur and animal remains was allegedly found in a mincer at his premises. Williamson is due to be sentenced at Lisburn Magistrate’s Court next month, and had previously claimed in a newspaper interview he was innocent of all charges and denied puppies had been minced or fed to ferrets.
'Bomb-Making' Material Found In Hackballscross Search
Two men remain in custody after Saturday's discovery of bomb-making material in County Louth. The men, both aged in their 50s, were arrested at a house near Hackballscross during a raid by Gardaí. Army EOD were sent in to the area after the arrests and "a substantial quantity of fertilizer" was found, being processed to make explosives. The raid was part of an ongoing investigation against dissident republicans. Gardai said the bomb making material could be used to make a 500 lb car bomb and believe it may have been prepared for transportation to Northern Ireland. The incident is being linked to dissident republican group Oglaigh na hEireann. The two males in their 50’s are currently detained at Balbriggan and Drogheda Garda Stations under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939.
Three Arrested After Stolen Car Crashes
A man and two women in their early 20s have been arrested after a road crash in Templepatrick, County Antrim, involving a stolen car. The three are detained on suspicion of aggravated taking and driving away, dangerous driving, driving whilst unfit and burglary. According to the PSNI on Monday morning, the crash involved a stolen Hyundai and took place around 5.50am on Sunday on the Antrim Road. Police say they believe the car was stolen from the Glandore Gardens area of north Belfast earlier on Sunday.

Two men have been arrested after a stolen car crashed into two other vehicles in the Newtownabbey area on Tuesday morning. A silver Renault Clio was reported stolen from a house in east Belfast. Police spotted the vehicle in the Doagh Road area just before 8.45am and a police chase occurred.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
