Anna Calvi Announces Empire Show
Seductive and sultry singer Anna Calvi has announced a date at the Empire Music Hall in Belfast this November.
Calvi was a nominee in this year's influential BBC's Sound of 2011 poll while her self-titled debut album was released in the United Kingdom on January 17, debuting at number 40.
Drawing comparisons to PJ Harvey and Siouxsie of The Banshees, Anna made a big impression during her appearance on the Later with Jools Holland show last month and will be headlining the NME tour this year.
The reverb jangle of her signature telecaster guitar has jolted Anna's profile since she took to the stage in 2006 for the first time. Her 2011 release broke the top forty in eight European countries after a tour of the continent supporting Nick Cave's latest vehicle, Grinderman.
Anna Calvi appears in the Empire Music Hall on November 20. Tickets are £12.00 and go on sale (today) Monday June 13 at 9am.
Tickets are available from all usual ticketmaster outlets. 24hr credit card bookings 0844 277 4455 book on line www.ticketmaster.ie.
