Food For Thought As Jobs On The Line
Around 36 jobs are under threat at a food company in Co Londonderry after the firm was placed into administration.
Millar Savoury Foods, which is based in Eglinton, has been trading for more than 40 years.
It is understood the firm - that makes sausage rolls and pies, and supplies several supermarket chains - was badly hit by the rise in commodity prices but was unable to pass these costs on to its customers - forcing the directors to call in the administrator last week.
The administrator is now attempting to sell the business as a going concern, but if no buyer is found it will close.
