Traks In Portrush Reveals Closing Party

Northern Ireland's dance music scene will never be the same again after Traks nightclub in Portrush closes its doors for the very last time following 20 years of music, dancing and other.

The club, which played host to thousands of memorable nights, is celebrating with one final blowout called Final Destination, which takes place on the North West 200 weekend, beginning on May 20.

The Friday night will see Trak’s recent residents, namely Brian Moore, David Mac, Steve Graham and Will Summers spinning everything from commercial hits to trance, oldskool, and hardstyle.

Then on Saturday 21 May, the Final Destination party will see some 13 DJs across three rooms of sound.

The original Godfather of the Northern Ireland dance scene and former Traks resident DJ, Robbie Nelson, headlines the night’s proceedings, alongside oldskool stars and north coast favourites X-Ray and Sci. Three artists who have gained legendary status amongst the country’s dance music enthusiasts.

They are joined by a host of Northern Ireland's brightest nu-breed DJs including hardstyle pioneers Mr & Mrs DJ and L.E.D, tech house and trance hero Jonny Brown, alongside the oldskool spinners Marty C, Marty Morrison and Devenney, and Traks residents Stevie Graham and Will Summers.

Traks Entertainments Manager Brian Moore said: "It's going to be a great final gig with all the usual suspects. The DJ I'm looking forward to most is Robbie Nelson, who used to be our Saturday night Resident."

Traks – 'Final Destination' sees the famous Portrush venue close its doors for the very last time and the organisers have said early admission was advised to avoid disappointment.
