Election Canvassers Attacked In Derry
A team of canvassers has been attacked in Londonderry.
The group, which included a number of candidates from the People Before Profit Alliance Party, was in Nelson Drive in the Waterside area when they were approached by a group of men aged between 25-30.
One of the canvassers had to receive hospital treatment following the attack.
One of the candidates, Davy McAuley, explained that the group of men approached them shouting sectarian abuse and throwing stones.
He added: "We tried to move away from them, and one of our group turned around to confront them. He was punched in the face and, unfortunately, had to get three stitches in hospital."
Police said the incident was being treated as sectarian. They have appealed for information.

Portadown Pupils Attacked During School Trip In Manchester
A group of schoolchildren from Northern Ireland have been assaulted by a gang of youths during a school excursion to Manchester. Up to 10 teenage pupils from Portadown College were attacked and some had to receive hospital treatment. No-one was seriously injured in the incident.

Shots Fired At House In Dungiven
A number of shots have been fired at a house in Dungiven A masked group approached a house on Wednesday in the Rannyglass area at around 9.10pm. The occupants of the house were left "badly shaken", however no-one was injured in the incident. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Appeal For Information After 14-Year-Old Seriously Assaulted
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following the assault of a two teenagers in Randalstown, County Antrim. A 14-year-old boy is being treated in hospital for serious facial injuries he sustained when he was attacked by a number of men at Neillbrook Park at about 21:30 on Saturday 28 November.

Man stabbed in Newtownabbey
A man has been stabbed in the stomach after being attacked by a group of men in Co Antrim early this morning. The victim was walking along Old Mill Drive in Newtownabbey when the group of men approached him. Following a struggle, the man was stabbed in the stomach and arms. He was later treated in hospital for his injuries.
