Mivan Wins Community Excellence Awards
Specialist contractor Mivan has won the Randox Business Award at the seventh annual Antrim Community Excellence Awards.
The Award was presented to Simon Harland, Corporate Services Director and Ingrid Napier, Factory Administration Manager, by the Mayor of Antrim Pam Lewis.
The Antrim Community Excellence Awards, in association with Tesco, showcases the remarkable contribution by individuals, groups and businesses within the Antrim Borough. Around 250 people attended the ceremony which took place earlier this month, at the Dunadry Hotel.
The council organizes the awards to demonstrate its appreciation to the various stakeholders within the area for the exceptional work they do.
Mivan's Corporate Services Director Simon Harland said of the award: "Mivan are continually committed to the local community and we are delighted that this has been recognised with this award, especially as the nomination was put forward by a member of the local community. "Mivan currently employs around 300 people, 20-25% of whom come from the Antrim area. We continue to create new jobs within the borough, and currently have in excess of 20 apprentices completing our apprenticeship scheme."
