Shooting attack in County Armagh

Three people have escaped injury in a shooting incident in County Armagh when two shots, thought to have come from a shotgun, were fired at the back of house at Legahory Court, in Craigavon.

Two men and a woman were in a back room of the house at the time of the incident, which happened around 2am on Monday October 15. No one was injured and police have ruled out any sectarian motive for the incident.

Meanwhile north Belfast has experienced another weekend of disturbances. On Sunday five shots were fired during trouble again in the Limestone Road area. About 100 nationalist and loyalist youths threw stones and fireworks at each other. Police said the crowd dispersed after about an hour.

On Saturday October 13, two police officers were injured during a minor disturbance in which a crowd of up to 100 loyalists and nationalists threw stones at each other on the Limestone Road early on Saturday afternoon.
