Pay Pal To Create 150 Jobs

Internet payment service PayPal is to increase its workforce in Dublin by 150 full-time staff.

The company already employs 1,200 workers at its European operations and customer service headquarters in Blanchardstown.

It is seeking to increase its staff by more than 10% in its customer service and merchant services for people fluent in English and a second European language.

RBS To Offshore 58 UK Customer Service Jobs
RBS is still addicted to offshoring UK banking jobs, according to Unite the union, following the announcement that 58 customer service jobs are earmarked to go abroad. Unite condemned the latest restructuring exercise which will adversely hit staff working in wealth payments in London and lending operations in Manchester.

DV8 To Bring 25 Jobs
Some twenty five jobs will be created in Clonmel with the arrival of a major British fashion retail store later this month. Retailer DV8, with a network of 30 stores in the UK, is set to open its first Irish branch in Clonmel’s town centre at the end of October. The 5,000-square feet outlet is due to open at the Ormonde Centre on Gladstone Street.
