Patton Fit-Out Launches New Heritage Specialism

The award-winning Patton Fit-Out has set up a specialist Heritage team to service its growing portfolio of museums' contracts.

The team will be led by Dominic Sore who has extensive experience in this niche sector, having worked on a variety of high profile project throughout the UK, Europe and North America. Dominic Sore will work closely with Patton Fit-Out Director, Brendan Boyd.

According to Brendan Boyd the establishment of a formalised Heritage specialism is a natural progression for the Ballymena-based group which works throughout Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe.

"As Patton Fit-out's portfolio has developed over the past number of years, we have found ourselves competing for and winning a number of prestigious heritage contracts including the much anticipated Museum of Liverpool; The Braid, Ballymena; Ulster Museum, Belfast; Ballymoney Museum; Tower Museum, Derry and Carrickfergus Museum.

"More recently we have been awarded Titanica – The Exhibition contract at the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum. This exhibition will include artefacts, photographs and personal stories relating to the construction, launch and ultimate sinking of Titanic.

"Strategically we see strong potential for further growth in this niche sector and we felt it was important to put a focused resource in place to facilitate our continued progression within heritage.

"Dominic has 18 years experience in the Heritage, Leisure and Commercial sectors both as a client and consultant. He was part of the team who were responsible for the exhibitions at the award-winning Ulster Museum, Belfast and I have no doubt he will add considerable experience and contacts to our already strong pedigree within this sector."

While Patton Heritage will be driven through the Group's fit-out division Brendan Boyd anticipates all elements of the construction group to be involved in various parts of Heritage projects' delivery.
