Gardaí Name All Six Victims Of Cork Crash
The names of all six victims of last Thursday's Manx plane crash have today been officially released by Gardaí.
Yesterday saw the funerals of two of the Northern Ireland victims of the Cork air crash. Brendan McAleese, 39, a general manager of a company in Cookstown, and Pat Cullinan, a 45-year-old senior partner with accountancy firm KPMG were both laid to rest in the respective towns of Tannaghmore near Kells in Co Antrim and Cranagh near Plumbridge in Co Tyrone.
This morning, Gardaí issued a statement revealing the names of all the other victims of the crash; Jordi Sola Lopez, Manresa, Barcelona, aged 31 years; Patrick Gerard Cullinan, Malone Road, Belfast 45 years; Brendan McAleese, Kells, Co. Antrim 39 years; Richard Kenneth Nobles, Jordanstown, Belfast 48 years; Andrew John Cantle, Sunderland 27 years; and Joseph Michael Evans, Belfast 51 years.
Meanwhile, four people remain in a serious but stable condition at Cork University Hospital following last Thursday's crash - in an aircraft of the same model as that pictured.
A spokeswoman for the Health Service Executive said the four being treated are likely to remain there for some time.
They are Heather Elliott, who is originally from Kinsale in Co Cork and now lives in Belfast; Peter Cowley from Glanmire in Co Cork; Brendan Mallon from Bangor in Co Down; and Mark Dickens from Watford in England.
Yesterday, hundreds including politicians, clergy, airline officials and rescue services personnel gathered at tribute to the six victims of the air disaster at the Church of the Assumption in Ballyphehane - the home parish of Cork Airport.
An eruption of applause broke out when tributes were paid to the emergency services without whom, the congregation was told, more than six lives would have been lost last Thursday.

NAMA Takes Over Further 48 Properties
A total of 48 new properties have been taken control of by the Irish Republic's National Asset Management Agency during September. The properties are located in the UK, Clare, Cork, Galway, Wicklow and Sligo. There are now 934 sites which are subject to the enforcement action.

Victims Of Cork Disaster Named
All those killed in yesterday's fatal plane crash in Cork have now been identified. A cousin of the President of the Irish Republic, Mary McAleese's husband was among the six people confirmed dead in Thursday's airplane crash in Cork.

Ernst & Young Recruit 300 In Ireland
Ernst & Young is to hire more than 300 workers in Ireland the next 18 months. The accounting and consulting firm is recruiting graduates, accountants, tax specialists and senior executives for offices in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Waterford and Belfast. Around 25 of the new jobs would be based in Belfast, where about 130 people are currently based.

Drugs seized off west Cork coast
An air-sea search for a missing man off the coast of Cork has netted what is believed to be the largest drugs haul ever in Ireland. Gardai have seized cocaine worth an estimated 100 million euro following reports of a man missing from a dinghy off the west Cork coast. One man has been arrested on drugs trafficking charges.
