Government release latest NI Construction Bulletin

The Government’s Statistics and Research Agency has published the latest edition of the Northern Ireland Construction Bulletin.

The Bulletin, which provides a measure of the value of construction output in Northern Ireland for the period April 1 to June 30, 2001, shows an overall decrease in the Index of just less than one point since the previous quarter and a decrease of less than three points on the same quarter last year.

A decline in Repair and Maintenance and Infrastructure, allied with a small drop in Housing compared to the previous quarter, largely drove the decrease.

The current base year for all indices is 1995 and all figures are at constant prices relative to this base year.
