London business award for gem
Belfast company gem, a leading provider of customer relationship management services, has won a highly prestigious business award.
The award - an Electronic Business Transformation (eBTA) ‘Oscar’ sponsored jointly by the Institute of Directors (IoD) in London - was given to gem in the Most Impressive Newcomer category. This is awarded to an organisation founded on, or after, May 1, 1998 judged as having made the greatest achievement in launching its business supported by technology.
The judges who gave gem the award praised their entire operation and design of the gem system.
Established in December 1999, gem’s services have become invaluable to organisations working in a customer-centric business environment with an ever-growing, ever-demanding customer base. Their Responsive service means that requests from customers either through the web or via an email account are automatically acknowledged. This immediate response also provides the customer with a time in which they can expect their request to be fully answered.
At this stage, the request is then routed to a gem customer service agent who can deal with the enquiry and reply to the customer in the appropriate manner according to the style and tone of gem’s client. The Responsive service enables organisations to provide their customers with an efficient focused and personalised response to any queries or requests they may have.
The purpose of the awards is to recognise significant accomplishments in the field of e-business, to raise the profile of technology from the business angle, and to encourage other organisations to strive for excellence in e-business.
Other nominees in this year’s awards included Microsoft, Sainbury, BP and the Automobile Association. (MB)
