New Argos store opens in Lisburn
Argos has opened its first store in Lisburn on Thursday, November 1, at the all-new Lisburn Square Shopping Centre, off Smithfield Street.
The store, which is the thirteenth for Northern Ireland and the 479th store for the UK, was officially opened by the Lord Mayor, Councillor Dillon with the help of the winner of an internal staff competition.
Welcoming the opening Allan Stather, Store Manager said: “Its always exciting to see a new Argos store opening its doors to shoppers for the first time - especially this close to Christmas. We’ve recruited 100 new employees to staff the store and they’re all looking forward to contributing to its success.”
Alongside its normal opening hours, the new Lisburn store will be staying open until midnight the week before Christmas. (MB)
