Farren opens Jobscene exhibition at the Odyssey
Minister for Employment and Learning, Dr Sean Farren has officially opened the two-day Jobscene exhibition at the Odyssey Arena, Belfast.
Speaking at the event Minister Farren said: “The two days provide a one-stop-shop for young and old alike to come along and find out what is available in Northern Ireland for their employment, training and educational requirements. Visitors will be able to see at first hand what job vacancies are currently available, talk to experts about how they can access both educational and training opportunities for their individual needs, participate in CV and advice clinics and attend seminars.”
The exhibition, which is expecting to attract up to 20,000 visitors from across Northern Ireland, is free and open to everyone interested in careers, jobs, education and training opportunities.
Over 60 exhibitors are represented at the event including a broad range of employers, colleges and training organisations, including the Northern Ireland Civil Service, Dunnes Stores, Hilton Hotels, the Construction Industry Training Board and Belfast Institute of Further and Higher Education. (CD)
