Sx3 offer accountancy training solutions

Sx3 Training Solutions are now offering a Modern Apprenticeship in Accounting in response to the growing need to source highly skilled employees for their finance departments.

The programme, entitled FIRST, is aimed at providing growing companies with the opportunity to expand the capabilities of their finance department while responding to the apprentice’s sense of individual drive and ambition.

“Many growing companies find that the extra demands on a finance department, which may consist of just one person or a dedicated team, cannot be met, but the company is not yet at that stage where it requires two fully fledged qualified accountants,” explained Nicola Henderson of Sx3 Training Solutions Centre. “The FIRST programme has multiple advantages for employers and trainees, and other Modern Apprenticeships have proved very popular across many sectors since they were introduced to NI.”

Other benefits for employers include free training for their new recruit, based on a programme laid out by industry, so that practical skills are taught in tandem with other key skills necessary for a productive career. The programme is accredited by the Association of Accounting Technicians - the UK’s largest dedicated professional body for qualified Accounting Technicians - with the scheme leading to a nationally recognised qualification in Accounting at NVQ Levels 2 and 3.

An information event will be held on Wednesday 5 December, with further information to be found on the Sx3 website: www.sx3.com (CL)
