Victim 'Critical' After Belfast Knife Attack
Two men, aged 25 and 18, have been arrested after a man was stabbed in Belfast city centre on Monday evening.
The attack is understood to have happened on Royal Avenue at about 6.15pm. The victim has been taken to hospital, where his condition was at first believed to be serious, but has since been updated to him being in a critical condition.
Meanwhile, a 20-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder in connection with a separate stabbing in Belfast on Sunday.
The 23-year-old victim was wounded in the abdomen during an attack in Charleville Street in the city. He remains in hospital in a stable condition.
Another man, aged 26, who was also arrested, has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
The accused man is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning.

A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed in west Belfast. The attack happened in the Hawthorn Street area at around 1.40pm on Thursday. The victim is believed to be in his 30s. A section of Hawthorn Street was closed and police examined the area. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

The victim, in his 40s, was shot through the window of the car he was travelling in on the Rossnareen Avenue in west Belfast on Thursday, 19 November.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

The victim was chased by a number of men from the Killagan Bend in the Cregagh area area, heading towards the Greenway just after 11 pm on Monday, 03 May. He was stabbed in the back and the head. The victim remains in a stable condition in hospital.
