Maintenance Company Jobs In Crisis
Jobs are under threat at a maintenance company in Londonderry.
Up to 45 employees at McGurk and Moore could lose their jobs after the firm missed out on a contract with North and West Housing Association.
A senior manager with the company said they have written to the preferred bidder to try and keep the jobs open.
McGurk and Moore have been providing a full range of services including building, electrical, mechanical, painting, cleaning, ventilation, heating, air conditioning and security since 1975.
The company was co-founded by Colm McGurk and Pearse Moore in Co Londonderry and provides a complete range of services to the domestic, commercial and retail market.

Belfast Based software company Equiniti ICS has announced an expansion which will create 45 new jobs. The move has the support of Invest Northern Ireland’s Jobs Fund and will see the company target the public sector, including health and the financial services sector.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a serious attack in Belfast. The 42-year-old injured man was found with a head injury on the Upper Newtownards Road at around 4am on Sunday, 16 May. A 34-year-old man was arrested at the scene.
