Arrests Follow Latest Dublin murder
A total of ten people have been arrested by Gardaí in connection with the shooting dead of a man in Dublin on Sunday night.
Seven men and three women are being held in connection with the incident that saw a man in his 40s being shot a number of times near the Portmarnock Dart Station around 10.30pm.
The police said that shots were fired at the victim hitting him at least once in the head and today, the body remains at the scene as the area is being preserved pending a Garda forensic examination.
The area around the train station and nearby apartment blocks have also been sealed off and a post mortem examination is expected to be carried out later today once the remains are recovered.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to contact them at Swords on 6664700, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
Meanwhile, a 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing in Cork city last night.
The man who was stabbed is in a critical but stable condition in hospital after the attack at an apartment on the northside of Cork city.
The 24-year-old man received wounds to his head, back, chest and legs during the attack, which occurred at Heritage House on Cathedral Road at 9.20pm last night and was rushed to Cork University Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. He is currently in the intensive care unit.

Detective Inspector Bell said: "Shortly before 10:10pm on Friday 15th December, it was reported that an altercation occurred at a bar in the area following three men refused entry to the premises.

Man Dies In Portadown Road Crash
An 18-year-old man has died following a collision in Portadown. The crash happened on the Dungannon Road between midnight and 12.30am on Wednesday, 08 November. The road has been re-opened. Elsewhere, a man, aged in his 30's, has died in a road collision in Co Antrim.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Co Fermanagh man suffers broken nose in robbery
A Co Fermanagh man has suffered a broken nose after being assaulted by two men at his home in Enniskillen. The 65-year-old man was confronted by two men who forced their way into his home on Sunday. They then assaulted him before robbing his home. It is understood that a sum of money was taken during the robbery.
