Priest To Meet Families Complaining Of 'Police Harassment'

A Londonderry priest is to meet with supporters of dissident republicans who have claimed that their families are being harassed by the PSNI.

Father Paddy O'Kane from Ballymagroaty, who has previously criticised dissident republicans over recent attacks and bomb hoaxes, has agreed to hold talks with the 32 County Sovereignty Committee, which has been linked to the Real IRA.

He told reporters that he had a pastoral duty to listen to the concerns of the families and stressed that he had "no intention of entering into the political affray".

The Real IRA, which has claimed responsibility for a number of recent attacks in Londonderry, including the murder of Kieran Doherty in February.

Journalist Breen Back In Court
An Irish journalist continued her fight to protect Real IRA sources at Belfast's High Court today. Sunday Tribune northern editor Suzanne Breen has defied police requests to hand over journalist material relating to dissident republicans. Today a court heard she faces "grave danger" if she is forced to elaborate on confidential sources.

Man arrested after CIRA bomb attack
A man has been arrested after the Continuity IRA (CIRA) carried out a bomb attack in Enniskillen town centre last night. The device exploded at around 7.15pm at the town hall in Water Street after the terrorist group made two warning calls. The device is understood to have consisted of about 10-15lbs of commercial explosive.
