Six-Year-Old Boy Dies After Being Struck By A Speedboat
A six-year-old boy has died after being hit by a speedboat in County Down on Monday.
Stuart Wilson from Rathfriland, suffered severe head injuries and died in the Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH) in Belfast yesterday. His parents stayed with him in hospital, hoping he would make a full recovery.
The family had been spending the summer holidays in the area when the tragedy occurred.
A prayer vigil was held for him by Reverend David Somerville on Thursday,
Stuart's funeral will take place on Saturday at St John's Church of Ireland in Rathfriland.

Boy Critical After Being Hit By A Speedboat
A six-year-old boy is fighting for his life after being hit by a speedboat last night. The incident happened just before 5.00pm at Cranfield Bay near Kilkeel. The child was given first aid on the beach by a lifeguard and a doctor who happened to be on scene.

Two Bodies Found In Search For Missing Speedboat
The bodies of two men have been discovered after a speedboat went missing off the Dumfries and Galloway coast in Scotland. The bodies, which were recovered from the Irish Sea, have not yet been formally identified, however they are believed to be the 35 and 46 year old's on board. They had been driving a speedboat from Port Logan.

Firefighter Dies On Duty In Lurgan
A firefighter died suddenly on Monday night while he was on duty in Lurgan. The NI Fire and Rescue Service said the man collapsed at the scene at Deeny Drive in the Kilwilkee Estate shortly after 9.30pm.

Coastguard warns sailors
People are being warned by the Coastguard not to go out on a boat unless they have the appropriate navigational equipment onboard. The warning follows an incident on Sunday evening when the Coastguard had difficulty rescuing six men in a speedboat off the County Down coast.
