Hospital Stoppage To Go Ahead
Members of the TEEU union are downing tools at St James's Hospital in Dublin today in protest at management's decision to bring in outside contractors.
The Technical Engineering and Electrical Union says it is concerned about health and safety as well as job security after contractors were brought in to deal with fire alarms.
It says a four-hour work stoppage will go ahead today even though it is due to attend talks with management at the Labour Relations Commission tomorrow.
