'Trenchless Technology' Firm Looks East

A top environmental consultancy in Newry is investing £75,000 to increase export sales across new markets.

With support from Invest Northern Ireland, McAllister Brothers Ltd - which is recognised as an industry leader in the use of trenchless technology to inspect, maintain and renovate pipelines and sewers, with minimum surface disruption - is targeting increased sales levels in both the Irish Republic and the Middle East.

Mark Bleakney, Manager of Invest NI's Southern Office, commented: "In challenging economic conditions, McAllister Brothers experienced a change in company structure and a reduction in demand for core services in local markets.

"By focusing on improving export capabilities to secure business opportunities outside Northern Ireland, McAllister Brothers can support sustainable growth by building up a strong market presence to capitalise on future projects."
