MJM Group Scoops UK Contracts
A top joinery business, MJM Group, has secured new contracts worth £6.2million with support from Invest Northern Ireland.
The award winning Newry-based firm provides specialist joinery fit out and marine refurbishment services to clients from the banking, hospitality and commercial retail sectors. The contracts will see the firm supply a number of London hotels with their specialist joinery services.
Invest NI, with part funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), has offered MJM Group a broad range of support towards training, development, marketing and strategic planning which has enhanced skills levels and their ability to secure new contracts in key markets.
Commenting on the contract successes, Jeremy Fitch, Invest NI's Managing Director, Business International, said: "This local company has consistently invested in skills and wider capability development in order to capitalise on sales outside Northern Ireland.
"Their latest hotel fit out contract highlights how making fundamental and continuous improvements to operations can help local companies position themselves strongly to win new business in key markets."

Okto Technologies To Create 80 New Jobs
Okto Technologies has announced it will create 80 new jobs after the Lisburn-based smart buildings tech developer secured new contracts worth £25m. The NI firm currently employs some 100 people in NI, Dublin and London. It is understood they have secured new contracts in the high-end residential and hospitality sectors.

'Onus On Minister' For Housing Pledges
An SDLP assemblyman has called on the Finance Minister to increase the housing budget in order to meet housing need and help secure maintenance contracts. Thomas Burns, the SDLP's housing spokesman, (pictured) said Social Development Minister Margaret Ritchie does not have the power to increase her own allocation.
