New Library To Open At Queens
A new £50m library at Belfast’s Queens University is to be officially opened today (Tuesday).
Nobel laureate, Seamus Heaney will be on hand to open the McClay Library.
According to the Vice Chancellor of Queen's, Professor Peter Gregson, the opening marks the next step in the university's development.
"It's been designed in partnership between Boston and Belfast, constructed here in NI so it's a truly international partnership," he said.
"It has brought about a change in the way students work and it is the intellectual heart of the university."

University Workers Reject 'Insulting' Pay Deal
Today outside Queen's University, workers are demonstrating against a low pay offer. The current offer of a one per cent increase is 'an insult' to the hard working staff, their union Unite said, arguing that it did not match the 3.1% retail prices index and they would find it harder to buy essential goods as inflation spikes.
