Tragedy as man found lying injured on M2 dies
A man found lying seriously injured on the M2 motorway in Belfast has died.
The man was 45-year-old Edward Gibson from the Antrim Road area in Belfast.
He was found at midnight on Wednesday January 2 lying on the city bound carriageway of the M2 under Hightown Bridge in Glengormley on the outskirts of Belfast.
Police said the man had sustained severe head and spinal injuries and had been in a critical condition in hospital. He died in hospital on Friday January 4.
Police have said they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident but added they do not suspect a crime. (AMcE)

Appeal After Man Found Seriously Injured Lying In A Road
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses after a man was found lying on a road in Magherafelt with serious injuries in the early hours of today, 20th May. Police have said that officers on mobile patrol in the Moneymore Road area at around 2.15am discovered the man lying on the road, injured and unconscious.

Man Arrested Over Murder Of Conor McKee
A 42-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Conor McKee. Mr McKee was found dead at his home in Glenpark Street in north Belfast on Thursday, 07 January. He had been shot a number of times. The suspect is being questioned at a police station in Belfast.

A County Antrim man found dead in a hotel room in Ibiza sustained head injuries, according to Ireland's expert State Pathologist. Alan Drennan, 21, was found dead just 24 hours after arriving in Ibiza. Mr Drennan was detained by Spanish police when he arrived on the holiday island, and friends claim that he was attacked by the police.
