Entries still open for Goldeneye web awards
Companies who think they have the internet sussed can nominate themselves for a Goldeneye web award.
The awards, organised by Business Eye magazine and ntl, aim to highlight the best in web design, and more than 150 companies have entered the competition so far.
All a company has to do is e-mail their website address to info@businesseye.co.uk before the closing date of January 18.
The award categories and sponsors are as follows: Best Public Sector website, sponsored by Sx3; Best E Commerce website, sponsored by Pricewaterhouse Coopers; Best E Business website, sponsored by Sysco Software Solutions; Best use of internet by an SME, sponsored by Open & Direct; Best International website, sponsored by Vodafone; Best E Learning website, sponsored by Edge and the ntl Goldeneye Award is also up for grabs.
The overall winner of each category will be announced at the awards ceremony in the Waterfront Hall on February 28. (CD)

4ni named 'Best International Web Site'
Flagship E-commerce, a subsidiary of Flagship Media Group have been honoured at the first-ever ntl: business and 'BusinessEye' magazine Goldeneye Awards. The company's Internet design division picked up the award for 'Best International Web Site Developed By A NI Company' for their in-house developed portal website www.4ni.co.uk. 4ni.co.

NI Film Fails To Impress At Oscars
There was disappointment in Los Angeles overnight for Northern Ireland after the movie 'short', The Crush, lost out to God of Love in the Live Action Short category at the Oscars ceremony. However, British film The King's Speech reigned supreme at this year's Oscars by winning four awards, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor.

£1.6m Needed To Complete New Hospice
The Northern Ireland Hospice is urgently calling for support to complete its new state-of-the-art dementia-friendly hospice. Work started on the north Belfast Somerton Road project in March 2014, at the cost of £13m and, to date, a total of £11.4m has been secured, however the hospice needs a further £1.6m to finish the project.
