Ford Launch New Ka Models

Ford's new Ka models will be made available in May and are eligible for the scrapage scheme, it has been revealed.

Ford said their new Ka Edge comes with air conditioning, remote locking, electric windows, power heated door mirrors and body-colour exterior.

All Ka models are available with 1.2 70PS petrol and 1.3 75PS TDCi diesel engines, which are both A-rated and incur yearly road tax of €104.

The government's scrappage scheme and changes to VRT has boosted the sales of low emission cars such as the Ka.

"We’re looking to the Ka Studio to be a hot model with the scrappage customer this summer," comments Eddie Murphy, Chairman and Managing Director, Ford Ireland.

Big car features in a small car body … and at a small car price. These are the characteristics of the Ka range," continues Murphy.

"The Ford brand has been a real winner in the scrappage stakes, and with our improvements to the Ka programme we mean to keep this going," he added.
