Truckfest Arrives At Peterborough's Showground

Peterborough's biggest and most treasured event Truckfest drives into the East of England Showground, Peterborough, on Sunday 2nd and Monday 3rd May bringing with it over 2,000 trucks and the best of the logistics and road haulage industry.

Featuring the leading names and manufacturers in the business, Truckfest is much more than an industry event and attracts over 100,000 visitors with its amazing vehicles, all decked out in amazing paintjobs and gleaming chrome.

See well known cartoon characters, iconic film and sports stars, beautiful landscapes and even stunning ladies captured in what can only be described as moving works of art.

Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh, who plays Michelle Conner in Britain’s biggest soap, and Hollyoaks hunk Ricky Whittle have just joined the celebrity line up at at the event.

Truckfest is also known for its fantastic family entertainment with monster trucks, stunt drivers, TV stars, and much more to keep people of all ages entertained throughout the two-day event or longer if you fancy pitching up a tent or bringing your caravan along.

Camping and caravanning facilities are on offer from lunchtime on Friday so you can make the most of the Bank Holiday weekend and those staying on site will enjoy the ‘Electric Parade’ by the tracks and amazing fireworks on Saturday evening. Sunday night the party will step up another gear as rock’n’roll legends Shawaddywaddy invite you to go ‘under the moon of love’ and perform some of their best loved hits.

Ice Road Truckers star Alex Debogorski will also be at the event. A true ice road veteran as he has been driving his truck on the treacherous ice roads for 26 years, and with 11 children, who could blame him! He will be joined by the lovely Sally Traffic from BBC Radio 2.

A fun fair, children's cartoon characters and hundreds of trade stands, make it a bank holiday weekend not to be missed.

The main arena action takes nothing away from the extensive industry exhibits or the hundreds of competitors competing in the cherished Truckfest awards, which has euphemistically been called ‘Crufts for Trucks’. See the amazing customised paintjobs, gleaming chrome and fantastic interiors and see why these awards have become such a hard fought contest.
