Teens Held As West Belfast Death Probed
A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a man in west Belfast.
He was Seamus Fox, a 58-year-old who lived at Horn Drive, off the Suffolk Road.
Two 18-year-olds have been arrested in connection with the shock killing which police said was the result of a "very brutal attack".
A PSNI spokesperson said the victim was discovered with serious head injuries at Woodbourne Crescent in the Suffolk area early on Thursday morning.
Detectives couldn't initially identify the man and had appealed for anyone with information to contact them, with more details just emerging this afternoon of the murdered man's identity.
The victim is thought to have been very savagely beaten, as he was found with serious head injuries on the wasteland, which lies at the back of Woodbourne PSNI station, at 2am today.
A PSNI spokeswoman said the man was discovered still alive and said the emergency services rushed to the area, but the victim died at the scene a short time later.
