Van Ablaze As Road Crash Victim Dies

A van has been left blazing and a man, believed to be in his late 20s, has died following a traffic collision in Co Down.

Five other people were taken to the Royal Victoria hospital in Belfast, two are understood to be in a critical condition, the other three are said to be stable.

The Ballynahinch Road has been closed. Diversions are in operation.

The crash, involving a car and the van, happened on the Ballynahinch Road, Carryduff at 8.15am this morning, Tuesday.

Man Killed In Lisburn Crash Named
The PSNI have released the name of a man who died in a three-vehicle crash in Lisburn. The collision happened on the Old Ballynahinch Road just before 7am on Monday, 14 August. Gary Wilson, aged 50, was the driver of one of the vehicles involved.
