Interest 'Sparked' At Paris C_42

C_42, Citroën's award-winning international showcase on the Champs Élysées, turns the spotlight on electric vehicles for a new season's exhibition.

The new display, which is open to the public, features C-Zero, Citroën’s forthcoming ‘Full Electric’ production model, the sensational Survolt all-electric concept car and a range of environmentally considerate production models that emit 130g/km of CO2 or less.

Before entering the lift to the top floor, visitors are welcomed to the environmentally themed exhibition by C-Zero, the Company’s brand new full electric city car, which is scheduled for UK launch in the last quarter of 2010.

The new model takes pride of place in the dramatically styled atrium of C_42.

Situated on the top floor, and surrounded by the fluorescent artwork of Françoise Nielly, is another star of the show. Survolt, which was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, combines the themes of motorsport and the environment to create a uniquely styled concept vehicle.

From the top floor, visitors descend through the exhibition, viewing products and educational videos about reducing the environmental impact of cars. Guests can also try ‘eco-driving’ on a simulator called Ecogotchi.

Four of Citroën’s most environmentally sensitive models are also on display - a DS3 and a New C3 (each emitting just 99g/km of CO2) are joined by a C3 Picasso (119g/km of CO2) and a C5 (130g/km of CO2).

For the first time, a Citroën demonstration model from China is also on display - the C-Quatre Stop&Start has never been driven in Europe.

Currently the world’s leading automotive market, China is a key consideration for Citroën’s environmental ambitions, with the Company aiming to halve the average carbon emissions of its range in China by 2020.

China will be honoured in this twelfth season at C_42 and will remain in the spotlight during the Shanghai Expo.
