Croydon’s First Škoda Retailer
SG Smith has brought the ‘Manufacturer of Happy Drivers’ to Croydon with the launch of its Škoda showroom.
In addition to offering the full range of Škoda models, including the recently unveiled Superb Estate, the retailer has also created 17 new jobs in the area, helping to boost the local economy.
Located on Purley Way, the retailer will provide full servicing for all Škoda models, as well as offering a selection of used cars.
A well established regional retailer, SG Smith brings Škoda to join its existing Audi and Volkswagen sites across South London.
Clive Dowdall, Retailer Principal at SG Smith, said: "The Škoda brand is synonymous with excellent customer satisfaction and innovative models and I’m excited to associate the SG Smith name with it.
"We have an established reputation in the South London area and since the launch earlier this month we have done really well and hope to see our early success continue in the future."
Škoda launched the eagerly awaited Superb Estate model at the end of February, which is the largest and most luxurious car to ever wear the Škoda badge.
Originally designed in the 1930s with luxury and elegance in mind, today’s Superb range builds on these strengths, with more rear legroom than many prestige chauffeur cars on the market and some ingenious technological advances such as AFS (adaptive front light system), touch screen technology and park assist.

Skoda Start Production Of New Fabia
Škoda Auto Russia announced it has begun full-cycle production of the new Škoda Fabia at the Russian launch of the car on April 28 at its Kaluga factory. The Škoda Fabia has become the second model in the Škoda range to be produced in full-cycle at the factory, which includes welding, painting and assembly.
