Fixed Price Servicing At VW

Volkswagen is offering customers added peace of mind and the opportunity to save money with the expansion of its fixed-price service plan, which is now available on every model in the range.

Until 31 December 2010, all retail customers purchasing a new Volkswagen passenger car model, from Fox to Phaeton, can choose to pay a one-off highly competitive payment of just £250 which will cover the servicing needs for the next three years or 30,000 miles (whichever comes first).

Over this period, the plan will save customers money and guarantee that the vehicle is maintained by fully trained Volkswagen specialists within the franchised Volkswagen Retailer network.

As an additional benefit, if the vehicle is sold before the three years / 30,000 miles is reached, the remainder of the plan can be transferred to the new owner, offering an enhanced resale proposition.

Volkswagen Finance has offered a fixed-price service plan on selected models since 2007 and, as with the previous scheme, the plan is open to all retail customers whether paying by finance or not.

The highly competitive £250 plan can be purchased up to 90 days after the first registration date of the vehicle or, alternatively, it can be incorporated into selected Volkswagen Finance plans meaning peace of mind can cost just a few pounds per month.

The fixed-price service plan is based on the Time and Distance service schedule and comprises a maximum of an oil service at 12 months / 10,000 miles; an interval service including oil change at 24 months / 20,000 miles; and an inspection service including oil and brake fluid change at 36 months / 30,000 miles.

At the same intervals, all Fox and New Beetle models receive an oil service, inspection service including oil and brake fluid change and a final oil service.

A fixed-price servicing plan is also available for buyers of used vehicles and existing Volkswagen customers for a one-off payment of just £299 under a separate plan.

Both fixed-price servicing plans apply to routine servicing based on the manufacturer’s recommended service schedule and exclude maintenance and other items.
