Jobs Boost Likely In Dungannon Area

Retailer B&M Bargains and ice-cream parlour Maud's are setting up in rural Cookstown while in Dungannon supermarket giant Asda is though to be about to announce a new superstore in the town.

The arrival of B&M Bargains to the Orritor Road Retail Park has created 35 full-time and part-time jobs.

The budget store opened its doors for the first time on Friday morning. It is one of the last remaining units to accommodate a major store at the Retail Park.

Dungannon looks set to benefit as Asda plan to set up shop at the site of the former Dunne's Stores on Anne Street, but this has not been confirmed.

In other jobs news, Maud's Ice Cream Parlour will open shortly on William Street, Cookstown.
